African Hot Chili Oil Piri-Piri Recipe

This recipe will make about 1/2 cup of Piri-Piri chili oil that can be stored in a dry, clean, and airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

African Hot Chili Oil Piri-Piri Recipe



Ingredients

12 dried hot Piri-Piri chili peppers

1/2 cup peanut oil



Directions

Cut off the stems of the dried Piri-Piri chili peppers, finely chop the chilies and place the Piri-Piri chili in a heat-resistant jar with a seal. Heat the oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high to high heat 10 to 15 minutes. Remove pan from the heat and add the chopped Piri-Piri chili peppers. Cool and strain the oil. Use hot chili oil Piri-Piri in your favorite recipes or as a dipping sauce.
